Looking forward to our next phase of partnership. @UNICEFROSA @G_LaryeaAdjei twitter.com/UNICEFIndia/st…सचिन लंबे समय से अलग-अलग कारणों से UNICEF के साथ जुड़े हुए हैं। 2003 में उन्हें भारत में पोलियो का बढ़ावा रोकने और इसके लिए जागरुकता फैलाने के लिए चुना गया था। 2008 में उन्हें लोगों के बीच साफ-सफाई और अन्य चीजों की जागरुकता फैलाने के लिए चुना गया था और वह तब से लेकर अब तक इस काम को जारी रखे हुए हैं। 2013 में संस्था ने उन्हें साउथ एशिया का अंबेसडर बनाया था।क्रिकेट के मैदान पर सचिन ने बनाए हैं अनेक रिकॉर्ड्ससचिन ने 200 टेस्ट मैचों में लगभग 54 की औसत के साथ 15921 रन बनाए हैं। इस दौरान उन्होंने 51 शतक, छह दोहरे शतक और 68 अर्धशतक लगाए हैं। वनडे में सचिन ने 463 मैचों में लगभग 45 की औसत के साथ 18426 रन बनाए हैं जिसमें 49 शतक, एक दोहरा शतक और 96 अर्धशतक लगाए हैं। सचिन ने केवल एक ही टी-20 इंटरनेशनल मैच खेला है।वह सबसे अधिक टेस्ट मैच खेलने वाले, टेस्ट और वनडे में सबसे अधिक रन बनाने वाले बल्लेबाज हैं। इसके अलावा वह 100 इंटरनेशनल शतक लगाने वाले भी इकलौते बल्लेबाज हैं।
