Mohammad Rizwan was dropped from Pakistan's playing XI for the two-match Test series against New Zealand at the end of December 2022 following strings of low scores with the bat. However, he will be used as a backup option in the red-ball format and will continue as Pakistan's first-choice wicketkeeper in white-ball formats. 

Mohammad Rizwan was born on June 1, 1992 and is currently 30 years old. He will turn 31 in June 2023.  

Mohammad Rizwan has smashed 85 sixes in 159 international matches (6 in Tests, 10 in ODIs, and 69 in T20Is). Overall, the Pakistan wicketkeeper has smashed 246 sixes in his professional career, including domestic and T20 league matches. 

Mohammad Rizwan is the captain of Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He joined the franchise in 2021 for the 6th edition of PSL and since then the Multan outfit has appeared in three straight finals of PSL. Rizwan previously played for Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars in the PSL.
